George Thieler, Manager/Sound Technician
Hi - I'm George. I am the Manager and Sound Technician for Remnant. I joined Remnant a long
time ago. I was born on June 3, 1964, in Mount Pleasant, PA. My wife, Darla & I, will soon be married 22 years.
We have one son, Joshua Michael. Other family members living in this area include my Mom, L. Faye Thieler, and two younger
brothers - Dave A. Thieler and Gerald L. Thieler. During the week, I am the Acting Director at Triangle Tech in Greensburg,
PA. I also enjoy teaching there from time to time. I teach primarily Electrical Engineering, but also Carpentry,
Math, and Computers. I also teach part-time at Westmoreland County Community College, teaching computers there.
I love teaching. I also enjoy doing carpentry work. My favorite thing about being in Remnant is the ministry.
Whether I am doing the ministering myself or facilitating others to do it, this is my favorite part. I attend church
at the Calvin United Presbyterian Church in Scottdale. My hobbies and interests include listening to music, coin collecting,
metal detecting, astronomy, Pro-Sound, and classic cars (I have a '71 GTO convertible that I hope to restore). My favorite
music groups include Boston, Petra, Vengeance Rising, Tourniquet, and ELO. I would like to ask you to pray for open
doors for ministry, especially at the Juvenile Detention Centers. Thanks! - George
