Getting To Know Chris Brein

We encourage you to take a moment to read about each of us below.  We want you to know us better, so we have taken time to put together some personal facts about ourselves.

"Just as each of us has one body with many members . . . so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."  --  Romans 12:4-5

Back to: Getting To Know Us

Hello - I am Christopher Andrew Brein and I play electric, acoustic and bass guitars, and sing in Remnant.  I was an active member with Remnant for 15 years until December 2006.  Now, I do recording with Remnant and help with new original songs.  I was born on Sept. 5, 1972.  I am married to Stormy Brein, and we have two adopted children:  Caleb Andrew Brian, and Eve Elizabeth Brein.  My other family members are my parents, Peter & Marion Brein.  I work in a drying lumber mill where I operate forklifts and digital machines.  I enjoy all aspects of my job, especially the hours.  The thing that I like best about being in Remnant is two-fold in that I get to do what I really want to do, specifically, play music, at the same time as answering God's call on my life.  Some of my hobbies and interests include:  listening to music, watching movies, keeping informed about the entertainment industry, tennis, bowling, seeing the ocean, deep-sea fishing, going to conerts, and hanging out with friends at restaurants.  Some music groups I enjoy include:  Rush, Dream Theater, Michael Card, Twila Paris, Wilson Philips, Petra, Yes and Fleetwood Mac.  My favorite book of the Bible is James.  It strongly convicts me of my sin and at the same time, it encourages me to "press" through.  Please pray that God would make me wiser, less proud, and a lot more selfless - Chris

Personal Testimony

"When I was 5 years old, my Sunday School teacher talked about how much Jesus loved us.  He told us when we die we could go to heaven to be with Jesus.  He said we would have to ask Him to live in our hearts.  For some reason, I loved Jesus enough to see Him, so I accepted Him.  I believe it's God's will to bless you in everything you do that's inspired by Him.
I try to do the will of my Lord in my life."
